I wont talk about what has been already discussed on national television a million times in last 4-5 days. At a time when our great nation faces self doubt and vulnerability, what is the minimum which Media Houses can do.
According to me, the least which we could have got from the so called Media Houses is:
- A video footage of the good times in India and telling its people how great this nation is and these attacks might dent our confidence for a bit but will never deter us from the path of development
- Print Media could have been more constructive in their approach, by urging people not to get bogged down by such acts of Cowardice.
- And it might sound a little cliched, but on FM a few patriotic and encouraging songs here and there would have done a lot of good to our confidence.
I still feel campaigns like
India Shining etc are really effective in giving confidence to the citizens of the country.India is great, its people are so tolerant and forgiving. This is one incident which has affected me hugely. India will bounce back. The Taj will open again and Champions Trophy will happen some time in future. But the world will not be same again. Not for India's enemies atleast. This includes India's enemies within the boundaries of this great nation!!
